What is Affordable Housing?
Sansom Bluff is a tax credit community with financing through the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA), which oversees statewide housing initiatives to ensure quality, affordable rental housing for Texas families, and Tax-Exempt Bond Financing through Tarrant County Housing Finance Corporation and HOME funds administered by Tarrant County Community Development & Housing (TCCDH). Because our property is supported by TDHCA programs, we can offer apartment homes at reduced rental rates tied to household income, creating a lasting layer of affordability.
Our community participates in several housing programs, including the Housing Tax Credit (HTC) Program, HOME Program and Bond financing, that work together to maintain below-market rents for qualifying households. These programs not only help keep monthly housing costs affordable but also protect residents from sudden rent increases outside the limits established each year by HUD and TDHCA.
In addition to these affordable options, Sansom Bluff Apartments also offers a selection of market-rate apartments, creating a vibrant, mixed-income community where residents of all backgrounds can enjoy the same high-quality features, amenities, and services.
Qualifying can be a more in-depth process than usual rental screening practices, but our management team is available to assist each applicant every step of the way.
